Benedictine Women’s Soccer Records First Shutout in 3-0 Victory Over Hastings

The Ravens dominate early, with Patsy O'Brien and Mollie Finley finding the net, setting up a home debut amid lighting challenges.

A Road Victory for the Ravens

Benedictine University's women's soccer squad posted its first clean sheet of the season on Wednesday, defeating Hastings College 3-0 during a road trip.

Patsy O'Brien opened the scoring in the 23rd minute, receiving a pass from Jenna Wilken before finishing calmly, and the team carried a 2-0 lead into halftime thanks to Mollie Finley's unassisted goal in the 37th minute.

The Ravens maintained pressure throughout the match, outshooting the opposition 8-4 in the first half while both sides managed two shots on target, and goalkeeper Campbell Gregory made five saves in that opening period.

In the second half, Gregory continued to protect the shutout with four additional saves, preserving the 3-0 result as the final whistle confirmed a dominant performance.

The team now turns its attention to its home debut, scheduled for Saturday at 1:30 p.m., after lighting issues forced the match to be moved from Legacy Field.
