A New Chapter for Kansas City Basketball
JE Dunn Construction has been named the first jersey patch partner for Kansas City Men’s Basketball, a deal that will take effect at the start of the 2026‑27 season. The agreement places the company’s logo on the front of each player’s jersey for every home, away and postseason game, giving the brand national and regional exposure while supporting the program’s broader goals.
The arrangement is part of Kansas City Athletics’ ‘Big Leap’ initiative, a multi‑year effort to raise the team’s competitive profile, secure additional resources and deepen ties with the local community. By aligning with a company that has built much of the city’s infrastructure, the partnership underscores a shared commitment to Kansas City’s growth.
Leadership and Vision
Tim Dunn, chairman of JE Dunn Construction, said the company’s long history of building the region makes this collaboration a natural extension of its dedication to the community. “We are proud to support a program that reflects the spirit of Kansas City and to help the team return to the historic Municipal Auditorium,” he remarked.
Head Coach Mark Turgeon, recently hired to lead the program, will oversee the implementation of the new jersey design and the broader strategic vision. His appointment coincides with plans to revitalize the team’s schedule and enhance recruiting efforts, aiming to restore the program’s former prominence.
Brandon Martin, a key figure in the athletics department, will help coordinate the partnership’s operational details, ensuring that the branding rollout aligns with the team’s performance objectives and fan engagement strategies.
