Season Overview
The 2026‑27 NHL season will see the Philadelphia Flyers featured in 19 games that are slated for national television, placing them behind only the Boston Bruins and Pittsburgh Penguins, each of which will appear in 20 broadcasts.
The season kicks off with a home contest against the Penguins on TNT at 7:30 p.m. Eastern, setting the tone for a year that will also showcase games against the New York Rangers, New York Islanders, Tampa Bay Lightning, St. Louis Blues and Washington Capitals.
Four of those national appearances fall in October, highlighted by a road game at the New Jersey Devils in Newark that will air on Hulu, ESPN+ and Disney+. The Flyers will not be on national television at all during November.
Key Matchups
December brings two high‑profile matchups against New York teams — a streaming‑only game versus the Islanders and a TNT showdown with the Rangers. January’s slate includes a home game versus the Los Angeles Kings on the streaming platform and a noon start in Pittsburgh against the Penguins.
February features four national games, among them a prime‑time contest with the Dallas Stars on ESPN and a 12:30 p.m. ET broadcast on ABC when the Flyers host the Rangers.
Schedule Details
The schedule continues into March with two more televised contests — hosting the Blues on TNT and traveling to Tampa Bay to meet the Lightning on ESPN — before the season wraps up in April with four additional national games, including a home finale against the Capitals on TNT.
Overall, 10 of the 19 broadcasts will be played at home and nine on the road, with three games slated to begin at noon or 12:30 p.m. Eastern and a single 3:30 p.m. start.
The Flyers will face 16 Eastern Conference opponents and three Western Conference teams, and five of their national opponents will appear more than once on the schedule.
The Flyers’ previous foray into national broadcasts during the 2025‑26 season yielded a 3‑10‑1 record, a performance that adds context to the upcoming slate and underscores the importance of these high‑visibility games for the club’s momentum.
