NFL Owners Greenlight $33 Million Expansion of Pro Football Hall of Fame

The third phase of the Evolve 2030 modernization plan will add interactive exhibits, a broadcast studio and more, cementing the museum’s future.

A Transformative Investment in Football’s Legacy

NFL team owners have given the green light to a $33 million infusion for the third phase of the Pro Football Hall of Fame’s Evolve 2030 modernization effort, a milestone that underscores the league’s commitment to preserving its storied past while looking ahead.

The upcoming addition, slated to expand the museum by roughly 8,000 square feet, will feature a grand lobby, a state‑of‑the‑art interactive gallery that walks visitors through the league’s first century, and a dedicated Coach John Madden Broadcast Studio that will serve both educational and production purposes.

Across six phases, the Hall of Fame’s total renovation is projected to cost about $102 million, with earlier phases already having upgraded the Nash Family Event and Conference Center and seen construction progress at the adjacent KeyBank Center, expected to wrap up by spring.

Leadership at the Hall of Fame has emphasized that the expansion is more than bricks and mortar; it is a chance to deepen the institution’s role as a guardian of football history, honoring players, coaches and contributors while offering immersive experiences for future generations.

The Hall of Fame Committee, composed of seven owners and their designees — including Jerry Jones of the Dallas Cowboys, Gayle Benson of the New Orleans Saints, Mark Davis of the Las Vegas Raiders, Bryan Glazer of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, JW Johnson of the Cleveland Browns, Ed Policy of the Green Bay Packers, and Amy Adams Strunk of the Tennessee Titans — voiced unanimous support, citing the project’s importance to the sport’s cultural heritage.

Funding for the first two phases was secured through a blend of public grants, naming‑rights agreements and internal resources, a model the organization says will continue to guide its financing strategy as the expansion proceeds.
