Megan Dadio, Hannah Fitzgerald and Caitlin Hoover recognized for standout performances as the 2026 season approaches

Three standout field hockey players from Franklin & Marshall have been recognized on the 2026 National Field Hockey Coaches Association Watchlist, a preseason honor that spotlights athletes with the potential to earn All‑Region and All‑American accolades.

Caitlin Hoover, a senior forward, secures her second appearance on the watchlist after a breakout season that culminated in her being named the Centennial Conference Offensive Player of the Year. She led the conference in goals per game and points per game, tallying 56 points – the third‑most in program history – and broke the school record with five career hat‑tricks, including a streak of 15 consecutive games with at least one point.

Megan Dadio contributed a decisive game‑winning goal in a 4‑0 victory over Avernia on September 17 and finished the season tied for 11th in the Centennial Conference with 0.32 assists per game, underscoring her all‑around impact.

Hannah Fitzgerald earned her first spot on the watchlist after being selected to the All‑Centennial Conference Second Team. She logged nine goals and ten assists for a total of 28 points, marking her debut on an all‑conference squad.

A milestone for the program

The trio’s achievements reflect a historic era for the program, with Hoover’s 56 points ranking among the top performances in school history and her record‑breaking streak of consecutive games with a point setting a new standard.

The team will open the 2026 campaign on the road at Susquehanna, kicking off at 5:00 p.m. on September 1, a matchup that promises to showcase the trio’s readiness for the upcoming season.
