A coveted addition to the Volunteers' defensive line
Tennessee has offered a scholarship to ZayQuan Dozier, a four‑star defensive lineman from Taylor County High School in Georgia, for the 2029 football signing class.
Rivals ranks Dozier as the top defensive lineman in the state and the second‑overall prospect, highlighting the intensity of his recruitment.
Florida International was the first school to extend an offer on September 15, 2025, and since then Florida State, Georgia, Georgia Tech, Texas A&M and Ole Miss have also entered the fray.
Recruiting Landscape in the Peach State
While the Volunteers have yet to secure a commitment for the 2029 class, they already hold 19 pledges in the 2027 cycle, a group that includes linebacker JP Peace, offensive tackle Princeton Uwaifo, quarterback Derrick Baker and several other standouts.
The only current 2028 commitment for Tennessee is Kaden Craft, making Dozier’s potential addition a key piece of the program’s long‑term defensive outlook.
Coaches say the offer reflects the staff’s belief that Dozier can anchor a dominant front, and his eventual decision could reshape the balance of power in the SEC’s defensive recruiting battles.
