A New Chapter in the Rivalry
The Kentucky Wildcats are gearing up for their first away test of the 2026 campaign, heading to Blacksburg for a Friday night showdown with Virginia Tech. Kickoff is set for 6 p.m. Eastern, and the match will be streamed live on AACNX.
After opening the season with two goals in as many games, the Wildcats have begun to find rhythm, with Tom Keller, Costa Iliadis, Michael Lee and Yasha Schaerer all on the scoresheet.
Virginia Tech, still reeling from a narrow 1‑0 defeat to Ohio State, answered with a 7‑0 thrashing of Howard, underscoring the volatility of their attack.
The upcoming meeting marks the third chapter of a rivalry that has produced two draws, and both squads are eager to claim the first series victory.
The atmosphere at Thompson Field is expected to be electric, with the Wildcats hoping to translate early offensive bursts into a decisive result on the road.
