Michigan’s men’s soccer squad finally recorded its first victory of the 2026 season, beating Niagara 3-1 in a home matchup that showcased a balanced attack and a disciplined defensive shape.
From the opening whistle the Wolverines controlled possession, limiting Niagara to just a handful of forays into the final third while racking up 20 total shots, 13 of them corners, with 11 of those coming before halftime.
The scoring opened with Grayson Elmquist, who not only found the back of the net but also set up a teammate, before Kian Concepcion opened his collegiate account in the 54th minute and Joah Reyna followed suit in the 85th minute to seal the win.
Alen Bean earned his first career victory between the posts, preserving the lead despite Niagara’s late push.
