Cedarville University's men's soccer squad, known as the Yellow Jackets, kicked off the 2026 season on home turf against Indianapolis, settling for a 0‑0 stalemate that kept their unbeaten run alive.
A Defensive Masterclass
The Yellow Jackets limited the visitors to just eight attempts, two of which tested the net, while Dewhurst patrolled the backline for the full 90 minutes, making two crucial saves and notching his 14th career shutout.
Coach Bryan Cortina's side managed only a single shot on goal, underscoring the team's emphasis on organization and resilience as they look to build on the momentum from previous seasons.
Streak Extends Across Three Seasons
The unbeaten stretch now spans three seasons, encompassing nine wins and two draws in the 2024 and 2025 campaigns, and continues with an 8‑0‑3 record heading into the next fixture.
Next up, the Yellow Jackets travel to face Roosevelt University on Saturday, hoping to translate their home form into a road victory.
