Chelsea Football Club announced a landmark partnership with Circle Internet Group, the Boston‑based fintech behind the USDC stablecoin, securing a multi‑year sponsorship that will see the Circle brand emblazoned on the club’s men’s, women’s and academy kits from the 2026/27 campaign onward.
A shared vision for borderless finance
The agreement designates Circle as a Principal Partner and the Official front‑of‑shirt partner, integrating the USDC logo across all senior and youth teams, a move that underscores the club’s embrace of digital innovation while the partnership aligns with Circle’s ambition to democratise global finance.
Both organisations highlighted the synergy between sport and finance, noting that the collaboration will promote a vision of open, borderless and inclusive monetary systems, a theme that resonates with Chelsea’s recent on‑field successes, including the club’s status as reigning FIFA Club World Cup champions and its historic dominance in the Women’s Super League.
The debut of the new kit will coincide with Chelsea’s first Premier League home fixture of the season against Brighton, a moment that will also serve as a public showcase for USDC’s role in facilitating low‑cost, 24/7 money transfers worldwide.
Jeremy Allaire, chief executive of Circle, said the partnership reflects a shared belief that sport can accelerate the adoption of seamless global finance, while Kash Razzaghi, Circle’s chief commercial officer, added that the alliance embodies a common conviction in a future where money moves as freely as a pass on the pitch.
Jason Gannon, president of Chelsea FC, described the deal as a milestone in the club’s digital evolution, emphasizing that the collaboration with Circle will help chart a path toward a more technologically integrated sporting experience.
Aki Mandhar, chief executive of Chelsea FC Women, noted that the partnership will deepen fan engagement and provide new operational efficiencies, while Todd Kline, president of commercial affairs at the club, underscored the alignment of values and long‑term ambitions between the two parties.
