The University of Kentucky has released its 2026‑27 men’s basketball schedule, setting the stage for a season that begins with three home exhibition games at Rupp Arena at Central Bank Center before the regular‑season opener on November 3 against Manhattan.
A packed slate ahead
The Wildcats will play 22 home contests, including 12 matchups against teams that were in the top 25 of ESPN’s Way‑Too‑Early Top 25, five of which pit Kentucky against opponents ranked inside the top ten, and the slate features a series of SEC showdowns highlighted by a Champions Classic meeting with Kansas.
Among the returning players are Malachi Moreno, an All‑SEC Freshman Team selection who topped the team in rebounds and blocks last year, and Kam Williams, who contributed significantly in the 2025‑26 NCAA Tournament’s Round of 32; the group also brings back Trent Noah, Reece Potter and Braydon Hawthorne.
The roster adds transfers Milan Momcilovic, the nation’s leading three‑point shooter who averaged 16.9 points and hit 136 treys at a 48.7% clip, and Zoom Diallo, while newcomers Zyon Hawthorne, Ousmane N’Diaye and Mason Williams provide additional depth, with N’Diaye already experienced in Europe’s top division.
The schedule also introduces six first‑time opponents for the program, offering fresh challenges, and the Wildcats will face a mix of familiar SEC rivals and high‑profile non‑conference foes as they look to build on last season’s momentum.
