Sharks Elevate Pinsky, Hire Greenberg and Add Fresh Talent to Hockey Operations

Front‑office reshuffle brings promotions and new scouts as the club prepares for the upcoming season

Strategic Additions to the Roster

The San Jose Sharks revealed a series of front‑office changes that will shape the team’s hockey operations for the coming season. General Manager Mike Grier highlighted the moves as part of a broader effort to strengthen the club’s analytical and medical foundations.

Eric Pinsky, who spent five years within the organization, was elevated to Assistant Video Coach, marking his first appearance on the NHL staff. His promotion follows a tenure as Video Coach where he honed the team’s video analysis capabilities.

Josh Woodard joins the Sharks as Head Equipment Manager, bringing his recent experience as assistant equipment manager for the San Jose Barracuda. Woodard’s appointment signals a fresh approach to equipment logistics and player preparation.

Scott Greenberg arrives from a distinguished career in sports medicine, assuming the role of Head Physical Therapist. With more than 25 years of experience in rehabilitation and healthcare leadership, Greenberg is expected to bolster the team’s injury‑prevention programs.

New Scouting Talent

The organization also welcomed two new amateur scouts. Cameron Burt, formerly a Player Development Coach and Video Coach for junior programs, will contribute scouting insight across the prospect pipeline. Tyler Holske, with nearly a decade of experience in collegiate and amateur hockey, including a stint as General Manager and Head Coach of the South Shore Kings, adds depth to the scouting department.

Nathan Airey has been named the emergency backup goaltender. The Minnesota alumnus posted a 2.47 goals‑against average in his standout season with the University of Minnesota, providing depth behind the starting netminders.

Mike Grier, the Sharks’ General Manager, emphasized that these additions reflect a commitment to blending internal development with fresh perspectives. He noted that the staff updates are designed to support the team’s competitive goals and enhance player development.
