A Fresh Look at the 2026‑27 Roster
Union College’s men’s hockey program revealed a ten‑player class that will join the 2026‑27 squad, comprising seven first‑year athletes and three transfers. The group includes a balanced mix of forwards and defensemen, drawing talent from five U.S. states and one Canadian province.
Among the newcomers, defenseman Jack Henry arrives from Skaneateles, N.Y., after a stint with the Madison Capitols and Northeastern University, while forward Tommy Cronin brings experience from the University of Alaska Fairbanks and the Bismarck Bobcats. Both players are expected to add depth and skill to the lineup.
The roster also showcases veterans such as Gavin and Luke Garry, who previously led the Sioux City Musketeers, and scoring forward Lefty Markonidis, a Massachusetts native who posted 20 goals and 11 assists last season. Additional contributors include Elliot Gulley, Nathan Free, Brady O'Malley, August Falloon and Cooper Sharp, each bringing distinct achievements from their junior careers.
Coach Josh Hauge praised each recruit for their unique strengths, noting that experience, skill and potential will shape the team’s dynamics. He emphasized that the newcomers will be tested early in an exhibition matchup against Colgate on October 2, giving fans a first glimpse of the new chemistry.
