Lulu Twidale, a standout guard for Australia’s women’s 3×3 basketball squad, spearheaded the Gangurrus to an unbeaten run at the FIBA 3×3 U23 Youth Nations League in Singapore, securing a berth at the forthcoming U23 World Cup.
The Australian side dominated the Asia West/Pacific tournament, dropping just 21 points in a historic 21‑0 victory over Qatar after only 4 minutes and 44 seconds of play, and went on to win all 18 of their matches.
Twidale’s Statistical Dominance
Twidale averaged 6.1 points per game across the competition, scoring at least eight points in six contests and leading the team in scoring during eight of the matches, including the opening three. Her shooting accuracy set new NCAA benchmarks for three‑point field goals, a milestone built on a season in which she posted three 30‑point games and career‑high totals in assists, rebounds and free throws.
Entering the 2026‑27 campaign, Twidale sits second in NCAA history among active players for career three‑pointers, having finished fifth nationally with 101 triples in her previous season and established herself as a key figure for both her club and the national team.
