A New Era of Game‑Day Experience
ECU Athletics is rolling out a suite of upgrades for the 2026 football season, promising fans a more engaging and convenient experience at Dowdy‑Ficklen Stadium. Season tickets will be available at a starting price of $81 for all six home games, covering matchups against Appalachian State, North Carolina Central, Rice, Temple, South Florida and Florida Atlantic, with dates to be announced.
Each home game will feature a new 50/50 raffle, giving fans a chance to win half the jackpot, while ECU Health steps in as the official field sponsor, showcasing its logo on the playing surface.
A clear bag policy will be enforced, allowing only a single clear plastic bag or a one‑gallon resealable bag, and digital parking passes will replace paper permits, requiring access through a mobile wallet. Pay‑to‑park lots will operate cashlessly, with a $20 fee charged to debit or credit cards.
Game‑day logistics include a dedicated rideshare pickup and drop‑off zone on 14th Street, and the return of Tailgate Plaza and Treasure Island, where live music, food vendors and pregame festivities will kick off the excitement.
The Pirates’ signature events — the Pirate Walk, led by the marching band and Spirit Squad two hours before kickoff, and the expanded Chaley’s Kids Zone and PeeDee’s Sensory Trailer — will return, offering activities for young fans and a sensory‑friendly environment.
Concessions will remain cashless, featuring an expanded menu that includes family‑style nachos and new desserts, while alcohol service will begin two hours before kickoff and conclude at the end of the third quarter.
In‑stadium entertainment will see DJ Mista Illz back on the decks, alongside pyrotechnics during team introductions and halftime, culminating in a special halftime drone show, Band Day and a sky‑diving display by the U.S. Army Golden Knights for the November 6 game against South Florida.
Community Engagement and Fan Activities
Beyond the stadium, ECU encourages fans to stay connected through social media for real‑time updates, merchandise giveaways and community outreach initiatives that reinforce the university’s commitment to its local fan base.
