Wichita State’s baseball program has released its fall exhibition slate, offering fans a preview of the team’s readiness for the 2026 season. The schedule features matchups against Cowley College, the University of Nebraska and Kansas City Kansas Community College, culminating in the Black and Yellow Fall World Series at Eck Stadium.
Fall Exhibition Schedule Overview
The first exhibition takes place on September 12, when the Shockers travel to face Cowley College at 1 p.m. Central Time. A week later, on September 26, they host Nebraska, a program that finished the previous season with a 43‑17 record and previously organized an NCAA Regional in Lincoln.
The third exhibition is set for October 3 against Kansas City Kansas Community College, also slated for a 1 p.m. start. The series of exhibition games will be complemented by a three‑game Black and Yellow Fall World Series running from October 7 through October 10.
In addition to the external opponents, the team will hold open intrasquad scrimmages on several dates — September 3, 4, 11, 19, 20, 25, and October 2 — all of which are free to the public. The September 26 scrimmage against Nebraska will double as Parents Weekend, giving families a chance to see the team in action.
All exhibition contests and scrimmages are staged at Eck Stadium, commonly referred to as Tyler Field at Gene Stephenson Park, providing a familiar venue for players and supporters alike.
