IU Indy Women’s Soccer Opens 2026 Season with Senior Day Tribute Against Chicago State

Six seniors honored as Jaguars prepare for home opener on Aug. 30

The IU Indianapolis women's soccer team is set to open its 2026 campaign at home, welcoming Chicago State to Michael A. Carroll Stadium on August 30, a date that also marks Senior Day for the program.

The Jaguars will use the occasion to honor six seniors — Avery Bangert, Lindsey Castillo, Katie Hoog, Caroline Kelley, Lilly Ma and Megan Swift — who have each left a distinct mark on the program through their contributions on the field and in the locker room.

A legacy of resilience

Head coach Angela Berry White praised the team’s ability to rebound from adversity, recalling a recent 2‑2 draw at SIUE where the squad erased a 2‑0 deficit and shut out the opposition in the second half.

Sophomore Isabel Oferosky earned her first collegiate start and made three saves, while Keilah Muldrow and Hannah Roberson added goals, underscoring the depth of talent surrounding the seniors.

The match will be streamed live on ESPN+, giving fans a chance to see the seniors’ final home appearance and the team’s early‑season chemistry.

Chicago State arrives with a 0‑4 record, having been outscored 18‑2 in their first four games, including a narrow 2‑1 loss at home to Alabama A&M.

This will be the first meeting between the two programs, adding an extra layer of excitement as the Jaguars look to translate preseason eighth‑place expectations into a strong start.

The schedule will continue with a home clash against Bellarmine on September 3 at 7 p.m., promising another early‑season test for the young roster.
