The Troup High girls soccer program turned a winless 2025 season into a seven‑win campaign in 2026, a transformation that has reignited enthusiasm across the school and the local community.
All‑Region Honors Highlight Individual Breakthroughs
Two players earned spots on the All‑Region second team, underscoring the team’s rise. Bayleigh Sharman led the squad with 12 goals while also posting a career‑high 204 saves between the posts, and Areli Mendoza, the senior midfielder, contributed three goals and a key assist before closing out her high school career.
Ashlyn Williams ranked second on the team with 10 goals and two assists despite missing portions of the schedule, while Hazel Chavez added four goals and a helper. Midfielders Sophie Vaughn and Leah Miles provided steady presence, with Vaughn starting every match on defense or midfield and Miles sharing goalkeeping duties in her debut season.
