Concordia University Irvine’s women’s soccer squad turned a 1‑0 deficit into a 3‑2 win over Cal Poly Humboldt on a crisp evening at College Creek Field.
The Golden Eagles struck twice in the final six minutes, with Bella Barrett’s 90th‑minute strike sealing the comeback and pushing her career tally to 16 goals.
Earlier, Sari Murphy had opened the scoring for Humboldt in the 60th minute, but Concordia answered quickly when Irandy Erazo’s pass found Ashley Grubert to level the match at 1‑1.
Kyla Okamoto restored the lead for the visitors in the 76th minute, only for Sarah Venegas to equalize eight minutes later with an assist from Tess Doucette.
Goalkeeper Sidoti secured his second win of the season, preserving the lead after the equalizer while the defense held firm despite a flurry of shots from Humboldt.
Looking Ahead to the First Road Test
The Eagles will travel to face Cal State San Marcos on Thursday, September 3, at 12 p.m. PT, eager to extend their unbeaten start to the season.
Statistically, Concordia recorded six shots and three corner kicks, while Humboldt out‑shot them 15‑2, underscoring the resilience required to overturn a 15‑shot onslaught.
