Sophia Dorsey opened the scoring in the 13th minute, slipping a precise strike past the Navy defense to put Marist ahead 1-0. Dorsey finished the game as the team's lone goal scorer and led the offense with a single shot on goal.
Navy answered before the break, as Katia Katsari-Hoefer leveled the contest at 39:58, sending the teams into halftime tied.
Second Half Surge
The second half belonged to Navy, with Jessica Black striking in the 52nd minute to restore the lead, and Faith Graziano capping the comeback with a decisive goal in the 75th minute.
Between the goals, Navy goalkeeper Natasha Stramrood made two crucial saves in the closing minutes, preserving the win despite Marist's late push.
Statistically, Marist managed nine shots with five on target, while Navy outshot them 11 to 7 and held a 5-2 advantage in corner kicks.
In goal, Samantha Graf recorded four saves in the opening half before being replaced by Nelly Bianchi-Nagle, who played the second half but could not stop Navy's late surge.
