The South Carolina women's soccer team continued its unbeaten run on Sunday, edging Colorado State 1‑0 in a tightly contested match that marked the program’s fourth shutout of the season.
A late surge paid off when sophomore forward Maryn Wolf found the back of the net in the 65th minute, scoring her second goal of the campaign and extending her career tally to five.
Between the posts, keeper Christina Tsaousis was a wall, making four saves including a decisive penalty‑kick stop that preserved the clean sheet, while sophomore Ava Tutas tested the keeper early with a shot that rattled off the crossbar.
Looking Ahead to Senior Day
The victory also underscored the team’s ability to defeat new opponents back‑to‑back, a momentum the Gamecocks will carry into their next home fixture against College of Charleston on September 6 at 6 p.m., a game that will also honor the seniors on the roster.
