Brown University’s men’s and women’s ice hockey teams are inviting youngsters to a free skate session at Meehan Auditorium on Sunday, September 27.
Community Outreach on Ice
The event, dubbed Skate with the Bears, is designed for children entering eighth grade or younger and will feature photo opportunities, autograph sessions and direct interaction with the student‑athletes.
Season Kickoff Approaches
Following the skate, the Bears will begin their 2026‑27 campaigns with home matchups against Harvard on November 6 for the women’s team and against Cornell on November 13 for the men’s squad.
Season tickets are currently available for purchase, giving fans the chance to secure seats for the upcoming slate of games.
Organizers say the free skate not only promotes the sport but also strengthens the bond between the university’s program and the local community.
