Arkansas Basketball Teams Set for ‘Primetime at the Palace’ Preseason Showcase

John Calipari and Kelsi Musick headline a free fan event at Bud Walton Arena on October 2

Arkansas’ men’s and women’s basketball programs have unveiled the schedule for their second annual ‘Primetime at the Palace’ preseason event, slated for October 2 at Bud Walton Arena in Fayetteville.

The showcase is open to the public at no cost, though attendees must secure tickets through a claim process that will be managed online.

Both coaching staffs, led by John Calipari and Kelsi Musick, will be introduced on court, giving fans an early glimpse of the rosters and strategies heading into the new season.

The men’s team will reprise its dunk contest from last year, while a 3‑point shooting competition will also feature the men’s squad; the women’s team, which skipped those contests in 2024, will simply take part in a brief scrimmage.

Calipari emphasized that the event serves as a bridge between the program and its supporters, using the arena’s reputation as a tough venue to generate excitement for the upcoming campaign.
