Coach Martha Whiting has built the Jumbos’ identity around controlling what they can control, competing harder than opponents, and embracing individual sacrifice for collective success, a philosophy that helped the team shatter its own records in 2025.
Returning starters anchor every line of the field, with defenders Maggie Rogers, Emma Finerty, Phoebe Marsick, Rachel Arcella, Caitlyn Capitolo, Cate Holzbeierlein, midfielders Reese Birch, Emily Nicholas, Maren Jones and Claire Brady, and forwards Waverly Sumner, Jordyn Miller and Audrey Cromett providing continuity and experience.
The incoming class adds depth, as defenders Chloe Kung and Maile Lung join the back line while Mia Yang and Gussie Robillard bring fresh attacking options, and the goalkeeping trio of Gigi Edwards, Greta Steege and Lindsay Fouche offers steadiness between the posts.
Daily Preparation Drives the Jumbos' Approach
Despite being tabbed fourth in the United Soccer Coaches National Preseason Poll, the Jumbos say they will ignore rankings and concentrate on daily preparation, beginning with their September 12 opener at Bello Field against No. 5 Messiah University.
The seven home dates at Bello Field and eight road trips will test the squad’s resolve as they navigate NESCAC competition, aiming to capture both conference and national titles through relentless work ethic rather than preseason expectations.
