Shanley High School in Fargo, North Dakota, has named new leaders for its varsity basketball programs, tapping Tim Jacobson to coach the girls' team and Dan Savageau to guide the boys' squad.

Jacobson, who previously steered the Deacons to three straight Class A championships and amassed a decade of head‑coaching experience, returns to the program after Beth Maher’s April dismissal. His track record includes two additional titles earned while coaching the boys' side.
Maher’s exit came after a brief tenure, and she publicly voiced disappointment over the timing of Jacobson’s hiring announcement, underscoring the abrupt nature of the leadership change.
Savageau, an assistant under Stefan Webber for three seasons, steps into the boys' head‑coach role for a team that finished 3‑18 last year. He inherits a program that struggled to find consistency under Webber, who ended his three‑year stint with a 10‑56 record.
