Oceanside Collegiate's girls soccer team captured its sixth consecutive state championship, blanking St. Joseph’s Catholic of Greenville 4-0 in the AAA title match. The victory underscored the program's sustained excellence and reinforced its reputation as a powerhouse in high school soccer.
A Dominant Display
Coach Mark Meyer praised the squad's talent, work ethic and competitive fire, noting that the win was built on sustained possession and relentless pressure. He highlighted the team's ability to execute game plans while maintaining a high tempo throughout the contest.
Freshman Sarah Ligon opened the scoring, while junior captain Hailey Piesner added a goal in the 54th minute and senior captain Ella Petry sealed the win late in the second half. Their contributions illustrated the depth of talent across the roster.
