Greenfield High School’s baseball squad clinched a 6-1 win over Westfield Technical Academy in the Western Massachusetts Class C semifinal, earning a berth in the championship final.

Semifinal Highlights

Luca Siano delivered a two-run double in the third inning, and a wild pitch later that frame allowed him to cross the plate, sparking a three-run burst that put Greenfield ahead 3-0.

Bodie Burke and Conner Bergeron combined for a three-hitter, striking out 13 batters and limiting Westfield to a single run in the seventh.

The Green Wave exploded for five runs in the fourth, extending the lead to 5-0 before Westfield managed a lone run in the final frame.

Greenfield will meet Lenox at 11 a.m. Saturday in Holyoke, aiming to capture their first Western Mass. title since 2013.

Despite loading the bases in the fifth, the Tigers were denied as Bodie Burke struck out the side, preserving the lead.

Arthur Fitzpatrick, Malik Moore and Sam Bucala also helped load the bases earlier, while multiple players finished with multiple hits.
