The United Athletic Conference (UAC) revealed its weekly football honors for the week beginning September 7, recognizing standout performances across its eight member institutions.
Award Winners Shine
Ty’Ray Davis of West Florida earned Offensive Player of the Week after guiding his team to a second straight victory with 14 completions on 17 attempts for 227 yards and three touchdowns.
Tarleton State’s Tylan Hines posted a career‑high 250 rushing yards and 297 total scrimmage yards, while defensive standout Jadan Aubert forced two fumbles in a game against Bowling Green, earning Defensive Player of the Week.
Alex Broome of Abilene Christian was named Specialist after delivering a historic 98‑yard kickoff return against Texas Tech, a play that highlighted his agility and speed.
North Alabama freshman Xavier Johnson secured his second consecutive Freshman of the Week accolade, recording six receptions for 82 yards.
The awards underscore the growing competitiveness of the UAC, which was founded in 2023 through a partnership between the ASUN and the former Western Athletic Conference and now fields eight schools spanning the South and Midwest.
