The NASCAR Euro Series has announced a technical partnership with ORECA Motorsport to develop and validate its spec V8 powerplants, a move that promises to raise the competitive standards of European touring car racing.
ORECA’s engine department, based in Magny‑Cours, France, will lead the dyno testing and technical inspections, using its proven expertise to guarantee that the V8 engines meet the series’ parity requirements.
Jerome Galpin, President of the NASCAR Euro Series, said the collaboration “delivers immediate value for the 2026 Playoffs and sets the stage for future engine innovations that will benefit all our competitors.”
Serge Meyer, Director of ORECA’s Engine Department, added that the partnership “leverages ORECA’s long‑standing engineering heritage in championships such as the FIA World Endurance Championship to push the EuroNASCAR V8 program forward.”
The alliance is focused on delivering even competition across the series by subjecting every engine to rigorous testing, data analysis and continuous refinement, thereby establishing new benchmarks for performance and reliability.
Playoff Calendar
The partnership’s schedule includes Semi‑Finals at the Vallelunga circuit on September 19‑20, followed by the Finals at Zolder on October 17‑18, providing a clear timeline for teams to prepare under the enhanced technical framework.
Together, the two organisations aim to set new standards for competitive racing in the NASCAR Euro Series, ensuring that the V8 category remains vibrant and future‑proof as European touring car racing evolves.
