Regional Finals Overview
The North Carolina High School Athletic Association has released the schedule for the 2026 girls soccer regional championships, setting the stage for a series of decisive matches that will determine which squads move on to the state tournament.
Regional finals for the 1A and 8A classifications are slated for May 21, while the 2A through 7A divisions will conclude their tournaments on May 26. All regional championship games will be hosted by the higher‑seeded school, giving home‑field advantage to the team with the better regular‑season record.
The winners of these contests will advance to the state championships at Durham County Stadium, where the finals are scheduled for May 28 through May 30. As the dates approach, the association will publish the full match schedules, and observers are encouraged to forward any time updates to HighSchoolOT@wral.com.
