Masuk Field Hockey Rolls Out New Coaching Duo and Revitalized Roster for Season Opener

School resource officers Danielle Boucher and Brooke Larsen lead a balanced mix of veteran and novice players as the Panthers prepare for a competitive schedule.

The Masuk field hockey program has named a distinctive coaching partnership for the upcoming season, with school resource officers Danielle Boucher and Brooke Larsen stepping into the head coach roles.

A Fresh Coaching Vision

With a roster that blends 14 newcomers and 14 veterans, the Panthers are positioned to build a solid base of teamwork and skill development, drawing on the experience of returning players while integrating fresh talent.

At the heart of the squad are captains Isabelle DeBernardo, Gianna Moretti, Gaia Victoria and Mackenzie Sawyer, while sophomore goaltender Molly Unis and junior net‑minder Charley Keppler bring proven varsity experience and individual strengths; returning sophomores Chiara Maier and Paige Sheahan, the latter now competing on the varsity level after a successful JV stint, add depth and continuity.

The season opener is set for today at 3:45 p.m. with a road game against Watertown, followed by a Thursday night match at 5:30 p.m. in New Fairfield, and a home contest on Monday, September 14, at 4:30 p.m. against Pomperaug, as the team focuses on learning, improving and forging strong bonds on the field.
