Dee Dee Davis has been named Recruiting Coordinator for the Manhattan University women’s basketball program, a promotion that underscores her deep‑rooted connection to the Jaspers after a journey that began as a 16‑year‑old recruit and culminated with four years of varsity competition.
From 2018 through 2023, Davis wore the Manhattan jersey in 126 games, posting career averages of 15.4 points, 7.5 rebounds, 2.9 assists and 2.4 steals per game as a senior, while also earning two First Team All‑MAAC selections and helping the team reach the conference championship game in both 2022 and 2023.
Career Highlights
During her playing days, Davis was recognized as the Preseason MAAC Player of the Year, collected three weekly Player of the Week honors, and delivered a standout 35‑point performance against top‑seeded Fairfield, showcasing the scoring touch that made her a consistent threat on both ends of the floor.
Now in her second season on the coaching staff under head coach Heather Vulin, Davis has already contributed to a four‑game winning streak at Jim Whelan Boardwalk Hall and will bring her insider perspective to the recruiting process, leveraging relationships forged during her time as a student‑athlete.
In her remarks about the new role, Davis expressed gratitude for the opportunity, noting that she hopes to build on the program’s momentum and help shape the next generation of Jaspers while giving back to the community that supported her throughout her career.
