Scripps Sports Expands Nashville Predators TV Coverage to Seven New Markets

Free over‑the‑air broadcasts on WNPX and simulcasts on NewsChannel 5 bring Predators action to a broader Southeast audience

A New Era for Predators Fans

Scripps Sports is extending its reach for the Nashville Predators by launching television coverage in seven new markets across Tennessee, Kentucky and Alabama, delivering 85 games — including four preseason and 81 regular‑season contests — to fans via the free over‑the‑air channel WNPX and simultaneous streams on the station’s sister outlet, NewsChannel 5.

The expanded slate features a revamped programming schedule, with 30‑minute pregame and postgame shows that give viewers deeper insight into the team’s strategy and performance, while the core broadcast team returns to provide familiar analysis.

Willy Daunic, Chris Mason, Hal Gill, Lyndsay Rowley and Kara Hammer will once again call the action, bringing their combined decades of hockey expertise to the new markets.

Founded in 1998, the Predators have called Bridgestone Arena home for more than two decades, qualifying for the playoffs 16 times and reaching the Stanley Cup Final in 2017, a testament to the franchise’s growing reputation in the league.

Scripps Sports operates as part of The E.W. Scripps Company, which holds media rights for several NHL franchises, including the Predators, Tampa Bay Lightning and Vegas Golden Knights, positioning the network to leverage its existing infrastructure for this regional rollout.
