The final day of the South Carolina high school soccer season delivered a double‑header of historic performances, as the Oceanside Collegiate girls and the Academic Magnet teams each secured state championships in their respective divisions.
Oceanside Collegiate’s girls capped a flawless campaign with a 4‑0 victory over St. Joseph’s, earning their sixth straight 3A title. Senior forward Sarah Ligon opened the scoring, while midfielder Ella Petry contributed a goal and two assists, underscoring the team’s depth.
On the same weekend, Academic Magnet’s girls posted a 5‑0 win against Andrew Jackson to claim their second consecutive 2A championship. Bridget Lee delivered a hat trick, and teammates Hannah Collins and Kamya Pham added the remaining goals, illustrating a balanced attack.
The boys’ field also saw Academic Magnet repeat as 2A champions, defeating Buford 3‑1. Cesa Ramirez struck twice and Jaidon Daley found the net once, while goaltender Mark Mayer preserved the lead with several key saves.
