Weather Forces Revised Championship Schedule
The 2026 Missouri Valley Conference Baseball Championship has been reshaped as unexpected inclement weather swept across the region, prompting officials to adjust the tournament’s timetable.
Game 7, which features the league’s top seed UIC against No. 3 seed Murray State, will now start at 3 p.m. Central Time. The change reflects the need to accommodate the forecasted conditions while preserving competitive integrity.
The elimination contest between No. 2 seed Indiana State and No. 4 seed Southern Illinois has also been moved to a 7 p.m. CT kickoff. This adjustment aims to give both teams sufficient rest before the next round of play.
Game 9, originally scheduled for a 7 p.m. CT start tonight, has been postponed and will not be played on Friday. Organizers have indicated that the remainder of Saturday’s schedule will be announced at a later date.
