Former Tennessee basketball star Zakai Zeigler will host a youth basketball camp in Knoxville on August 1, 2026, offering two distinct sessions for children aged 8‑11 and 12‑15. The $165 fee covers expert coaching, a special edition basketball, a commemorative t‑shirt, and a chance to win prizes.
Zeigler’s four‑year tenure at the University of Tennessee cemented his place in program history. He finished as the school’s all‑time leader in assists (747) and steals (251), earned Second‑Team All‑American honors, and was named SEC Defensive Player of the Year in his final season, during which he averaged 13.6 points, 7.4 assists, 2.9 rebounds and 1.9 steals per game.
After college, Zeigler began his professional career with Nanterre 92 in France’s top league, a club with a storied 98‑year history that has featured stars such as Victor Wembanyama and Evan Fournier. He also impressed in the NBA Summer League, averaging nine points and three assists per game, highlighted by a 15‑point outing against the Heat.
