Marcel Reece Takes the Helm at USA Football
USA Football has named Marcel Reece as its new Senior Vice President of Football Strategy & Operations, tapping a veteran of the National Football League to steer the organization’s overall football strategy.
Reece, a Southern California native who grew up in Hesperia and Inglewood, brings more than a decade of NFL experience, having spent three years in the Raiders’ front office before concluding his playing career with the Seattle Seahawks.
In his new role, he will direct USA Football’s entire football operation, including the selection of the United States flag football roster for the 2028 Olympic Games in Los Angeles.
Strategic Vision for Olympic Growth
Reece expressed excitement about working with USA Football to grow the sport of football, emphasizing the organization’s mission to expand participation worldwide.
USA Football CEO Scott Hallenbeck praised Reece’s contributions, highlighting his unique perspective and the record $182 million revenue generated at Allegiant Stadium during his tenure with the Raiders.
The appointment comes as flag football prepares for its Olympic debut, with the Los Angeles Games expected to showcase the sport to a global audience and spur further investment in grassroots programs across the country.
