Kota Suttle Commits to UNLV Rebels for 2026‑27 Season

The Atlanta guard joins a revamped roster as Coach Josh Pastner eyes a fresh push in the Mountain West

Kota Suttle, a 6‑foot‑3‑inch guard standing 200 pounds, has pledged to join the UNLV Rebels for the 2026‑27 campaign, bringing a blend of size, skill and ambition to the program.

The Atlanta native previously starred at Southern California Academy and earlier at the nationally‑ranked Wheeler High School in Marietta, Georgia, arriving as the No. 29 combo guard in the country and the No. 24 overall prospect in California.

Coach Josh Pastner, now in his second year at the helm, highlighted Suttle’s quickness, toughness and defensive instincts, noting that the recruit fits the dynamic two‑way style the Rebels have been cultivating.

Returning Faces and New Additions

Suttle will be joined by a wave of newcomers — including Terrance Ford Jr., Jeremy Foumena, Tyler Harris, Jackson Kiss, Cam Miles, MJ Thomas and Dontrez Williams — while veterans Tyrin Jones and Issac Williamson have announced their return, bolstering the roster with experience and depth.

Jones, a recent Mountain West All‑Defensive Team selection, averaged 11.9 points and 5.0 rebounds last season and led the league in blocks with 2.2 per game, while Williamson contributed 8.6 points per outing, setting the stage for a competitive interior.

The 2026‑27 season will mark Pastner’s second year as head coach, a period in which he previously guided the Rebels to the NIT’s second round, and the coaching staff is optimistic that the added talent will translate into a stronger push in the Mountain West conference.
