A Strategic Overhaul for the Trojans
Travis Ford, the head coach of the University of Arkansas at Little Rock’s men’s basketball program, has unveiled a new-look coaching staff that blends seasoned experience with deep‑rooted connections to the university. The move is positioned as a catalyst for restoring the Trojans’ competitive edge in the highly contested NCAA landscape.
The staff features Van Macon, Christian Nunez, Jordon Kedrowski and Ted Crass as assistants, while Tyler Milchman and Caleb Jones remain in their roles, providing continuity in day‑to‑day operations. Their presence is intended to preserve institutional knowledge while injecting fresh ideas.
Macon, a veteran with more than two decades of coaching, brings a strong recruiting network from the Northeast, whereas Nunez is known for his player‑development work at Delaware and Iona Prep. Kedrowski contributes versatility from scouting and analytics, and Crass, a Little Rock native, offers an intimate understanding of the program’s history and culture.
Adding to the mix, Danny Strohm will oversee sports performance and strength and conditioning, drawing on Division I experience at Georgia Southern and Northern Iowa. His appointment underscores a commitment to modernizing athletic development.
Milchman will continue to manage travel logistics, film analysis and academic progress, while Jones will handle practice film and scouting reports as the video coordinator. Together, they form a support structure designed to let the players focus on growth.
The overarching goal is to make every player the best they can be, forge a winning culture, and leverage the staff’s geographic ties to attract talent to the Trojans. By combining proven recruiting pipelines, analytical rigor and performance science, the new roster aims to elevate the program’s stature within the conference and beyond.
