A Homecoming for a Proven Leader
Jamie Carter, a Neshoba County native and former NFL player, has been appointed head football coach at Camden Fairview High School in Arkansas, bringing more than 17 years of coaching experience to the program.
Carter graduated from Neshoba Central High School before earning a football scholarship at the University of Alabama, where he honed his skills before launching a professional career with the Dallas Cowboys and the New York Giants.
His coaching journey includes a standout tenure at Osceola High School, where he guided the team to a 2022 3A‑3 Conference championship and a state quarterfinal appearance, earning Coach of the Year honors that same season.
From 2020 to 2024 he served as head coach and associate athletic director at Osceola, overseeing football operations for grades seven through twelve and mentoring dozens of student‑athletes, a role he now leaves to take the reins at Camden Fairview.
Most recently, Carter worked as associate head coach and co‑defensive coordinator at Marion High School, where he continued to shape young talent while maintaining ties to the broader Arkansas football community.
Bishop Davis, founder and pastor of The Word Family Church in Camden, praised the appointment as a trailblazing leadership opportunity, highlighting Carter’s deep roots and proven ability to develop championship‑caliber programs.
