Christian Beam, a 6‑foot‑10 center, announced his commitment to Temple University for the 2026‑27 season, marking the Owls’ eighth transfer addition and their first dedicated big man.
Beam’s college journey began at Southern Union State Community College in Wadley, Alabama, where he averaged eight points, seven rebounds and three blocks per game before moving to Georgia State University.
At Georgia State he appeared in 26 games, starting 15, and posted 3.2 points and 3.9 rebounds per contest while shooting 47.2% from the field and 57.9% on free throws.
Frontcourt Reinforcements Shape Owls’ Outlook
His arrival adds depth to a frontcourt that already includes UTSA transfer Baboucarr Njie, Louisiana Tech transfer Sir Issac Herron and Weber State transfer Edwin Suarez Jr., giving the Owls a versatile mix of size and skill.
Beam’s defensive contributions, including 22 blocks last season, are expected to bolster the team’s interior presence.
