A Tradition on the Green
The 44th annual Ferris State University football Golf Outing will take place on June 27 at Clear Lake Golf Club near Big Rapids, Michigan. The event, organized by the FSU Gridiron Club in partnership with the Bulldog Athletic Association, has become one of the program’s most important fundraising initiatives.
Participants will enjoy a four‑person shotgun scramble, followed by registration, lunch, a cocktail hour, dinner and a chance to win a variety of prizes. The $175 per player fee covers greens fees, a power cart, lunch and dinner, making it a full‑day experience for golfers of all skill levels.
Sponsorship opportunities are available, allowing businesses to align their brand with the Bulldog football program while supporting scholarships, equipment and travel costs. All proceeds directly fund the continued success of the Ferris State football team, helping to sustain a competitive schedule and enhance player development.
Registration is limited to 50 teams, so interested players are urged to submit their online registration and payment promptly to secure a spot. For any questions, Cedric Frierson can be reached at 231‑679‑9852 or via email at CedricFrierson@ferris.edu.
Long‑time supporters Bill Scheible and John Raffel have been vocal about the event’s impact on the community, emphasizing that the outing not only raises funds but also strengthens camaraderie among alumni, students and local fans.
