Changan Automobile has entered a global strategic partnership with the Portuguese Football Federation (FPF), officially designating the company as the partner of the Portugal National Football Team. The announcement came during a ceremony at Cidade do Futebol in Lisbon, where both parties highlighted a shared philosophy of resilience, excellence and long‑term commitment.
The deal encompasses a 1,000‑kilometre European test‑drive programme that will let fans experience Changan’s latest New Energy Vehicle lineup, alongside the debut of a collaborative brand film titled “Sounds Like Changan.” The film was unveiled alongside the handover of a DEEPAL S05 Plug‑In Hybrid to FPF leadership.
Mi Mengdong, Changan’s Vice President, said the partnership underscores the company’s dedication to innovation and to providing users with reliable support, adding that the collaboration will help bring advanced NEV technology to a broader audience.
The Portugal National Football Team, known as “The Team of the Quinas,” commands a fan base of more than 500 million supporters worldwide. By aligning with the sport’s most passionate community, Changan aims to embed its sustainable mobility solutions within European football culture.
A Shared Vision for the Future
Both organisations emphasized that the alliance reflects a broader strategy of localized product planning and brand engagement, leveraging Changan’s extensive manufacturing network of 22 bases and 77 plants to tailor offerings for European markets.
