NASCAR Truck Series Race at Charlotte Postponed Again, Moves to Primetime

Corey Day grabs pole as rescheduled event joins a double‑header weekend

The NASCAR CRAFTSMAN Truck Series race at Charlotte Motor Speedway has been postponed for the second time this weekend as uncooperative weather continues to hamper preparations.

Weather Delays Prompt Nighttime Restart

Originally scheduled for an 8:00 a.m. Saturday start, the event has been moved to a 9:00 p.m. broadcast, pushing the action into primetime.

Series officials confirmed that the revised schedule will be shown live on FS1, with additional coverage on NRN and SiriusXM NASCAR Radio, ensuring fans can follow the competition across multiple platforms.

Ticket Priorities and Event Structure

Ticket holders will retain access to both the North Carolina Education Lottery 200 and the O’Reilly Auto Parts Series Charbroil 300, though Friday attendees receive priority seating for the former while Saturday spectators are granted precedence for the latter.

Friday’s practice and qualifying sessions were cancelled outright because of the inclement conditions, leaving teams with limited time to fine‑tune their setups before the evening showdown.

A Tribute to Kyle Busch

The rescheduled race will also serve as a tribute to Kyle Busch, who passed away earlier this week after a sudden, severe illness and who had just added a record 69th Truck Series victory at Dover to his résumé.

Corey Day will start from the pole position in the No. 7 Spire Motorsports Chevrolet, stepping into the lineup to replace the late Busch and bring his own momentum to the night’s competition.
