Logan Quinn has been appointed head basketball coach at Southern Arkansas University, bringing his championship pedigree back to the campus where he first made his mark. After a successful stint in the NBA G‑League, Quinn is eager to rebuild the Muleriders program and continue the momentum he helped create.
A Proven Winner
During his two‑year tenure as head coach, Quinn compiled a 33‑28 record and captured the Great American Conference Tournament title, guiding the team to an NCAA Tournament berth and setting a program record with 22 wins in his first season. He also coached three All‑GAC honorees, including Gregory Hammond Jr., LaTreavin Black and Carel Ray Jr.
Developing NBA‑Ready Talent
While leading the Grand Rapids Gold, the NBA G‑League affiliate of the Denver Nuggets, Quinn helped shape the careers of Jalen Pickett, Trey Alexander, Spencer Jones and Jahmir Young. All four players earned G‑League honors and later transitioned to the NBA, showcasing Quinn’s ability to develop professional talent.
A Family Homecoming
Quinn is returning to Magnolia, Arkansas, with his family, eager to reconnect with the community that first launched his coaching career. He previously served as associate head coach at SAU, helping the program achieve 46 wins and its first NCAA Tournament appearance, and he now hopes to build on that foundation.
