A Summer of Soccer in the Capital City
Starting on June 11 and running through July 19, The Soccer Center in Little Rock will transform its pavilion into a free World Cup watch zone. A massive 10‑foot by 20‑foot LED screen will broadcast every match, giving fans a stadium‑like experience without leaving the city.
The venue will complement the screenings with a rotating lineup of food trucks offering everything from tacos to BBQ, while adult beverages will be served to enhance the game‑day atmosphere. Attendees can expect a lively crowd, music, and a festive environment that mirrors the excitement of the tournament itself.
Youth Leagues Keep the Pitch Active
Even as the World Cup takes center stage, The Soccer Center will maintain its regular youth league schedule. Young players will continue to train and compete on the fields adjacent to the viewing area, ensuring that the community’s soccer development remains uninterrupted throughout the global event.
Owner Raouf Kassissieh, who opened the facility in 2023, expressed his enthusiasm for the initiative. "We’re thrilled to bring the World Cup to our neighborhood," he said, adding that he is personally rooting for the United States and Jordan. Kassissieh also shared his belief that Spain will emerge as the tournament’s champion.
A Community Hub for Fans of All Ages
Beyond the matches, the watch parties aim to foster a sense of camaraderie among local soccer enthusiasts. Families, friends, and solo supporters can gather, cheer, and discuss tactics while enjoying the diverse food options and the vibrant atmosphere created by the center’s new outdoor setup.
