Vinnie Bullara, a seasoned coach with nearly three decades of experience across Louisiana’s high school football landscape, has been named the new head football coach at Kaplan High School.
A New Era for Kaplan Football
Bullara’s journey to Kaplan follows a distinguished tenure that includes stints as athletic director and head coach at Port Barre High School, as well as leadership roles at Sulphur High School, Catholic‑Pointe Coupee, Westminster Christian, St. Thomas More, Acadiana Prep and Christian Life Academy.
His departure from Port Barre was attributed to administrative changes within the school district, a transition that Bullara says has cleared a path for him to focus on rebuilding the Kaplans’ program.
Excited by the opportunity, Bullara outlined a philosophy centered on discipline, accountability, work ethic and culture‑building, promising to instill a mindset of enthusiasm and elite performance among his players.
