Jianni Davis, the son of former NFL tight end Vernon Davis, has officially committed to the University of Maryland football program, bringing a celebrated lineage to College Park.
Davis will join a talented group of teammates, including Sidney Stewart, Zahir Mathis and Zion Elee, as the Terrapins look to build on recent successes and contend for the Big Ten Championship.
Learning from the Best
One of the key draws for Davis is the opportunity to learn pass‑rush techniques from veteran teammate Sidney Stewart, whose experience should help sharpen his own edge on the defensive line.
Throughout his high school career, Davis has played both tight end and defensive end, showcasing a blend of size, speed and versatility. Last season he recorded three interceptions, underscoring his playmaking ability.
