The NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series was slated to hit the 1.5‑mile oval of Charlotte Motor Speedway on May 22, but a succession of storm fronts forced officials to shift the event to Thursday, May 24, with a 10 a.m. Eastern start that translates to 9 a.m. Central.
Fans will be able to watch the action live on FOX Sports, with a national feed on the FS1 cable channel, while streaming enthusiasts can follow the broadcast on the FUBO platform.
Corey Day will lead the field from the pole position in the No. 7 Spire Motorsports Chevrolet, the same car that had been prepared for Kyle Busch before his untimely passing on May 21.
Busch, who had just celebrated a victory in the No. 7 at Dover the previous weekend, died in a crash that has sent ripples through the racing community, turning the upcoming race into a poignant tribute.
A somber milestone
The rescheduling underscores the series’ willingness to adapt in the face of nature’s unpredictability, while the memory of Busch adds a layer of reflection for drivers, teams, and viewers alike.
The event is scheduled for 134 laps, covering 201 miles, and will be divided into three stages — 30 laps, another 30 laps, and a final 74‑lap sprint — designed to test both endurance and strategy.
Beyond the headline race, the series’ schedule also includes a slate of other contests, each with its own set of winners that will be announced throughout the weekend.
