Alabama Announces 2026 All-Star Baseball Teams Ahead of Montgomery Showcase

Rising seniors will compete in a week-long event featuring games across the state, highlighted by an opening match on July 20

The Alabama High School Athletic Directors & Coaches Association has unveiled the 2026 all-star baseball squads, a roster of 18 rising seniors selected after the conclusion of the AHSAA championships.

All-Star Week Overview

All-Star week is set for July 20-24 in Montgomery, where the opening baseball game will kick off on Monday, July 20 at 4 p.m., marking the start of a series of matchups that will showcase the state’s top prospects.

The North All-Star team draws talent from schools across the state, including Vincent, Thompson, Cherokee County and Homewood, while the South squad features players from Prattville, UMS-Wright, Opelika and Florala.

Softball events will be held at DABOS Park, a venue traditionally used for those contests, while the baseball games will rotate through several local fields throughout the week.

Local journalist Maxwell Donaldson, who covers high school sports, Jacksonville State athletics and the outdoors for the Gadsden Times and the USA TODAY Network, has been tracking the selections and will provide daily updates throughout the event.

The initiative not only highlights individual talent but also reinforces community ties, as schools and families gather to support the next generation of Alabama baseball stars.
